Movie Review: Bwaya

Divina is preparing for her daughter Rowena’s 13th birthday when she hears shocking news: her daughter has been attacked by a crocodile, her body still missing. As Divina searches for the body of her daughter in the marshlands of Agusan del Sur, she learns a lesson more tragic than her fate: not all predators are underwater. The film is based on actual events.

The film got an interesting story to share to us. This true to life story helps us to reflect the life of other Filipino living in remote province. You will also appreciate the location which is Agusan Del Sur after watching this film. Madaming layers na pinakita sa pelikula ito in terms of the title itself of the movie.
So it’s up to you on how you will interpret it. The whole essence of the story ay nakakabit sa bawat eksena ng pelikula. This film is a huge eye opener.

My Verdict: 3.5/5

Angeli Bayani @ Gala of Bwaya

RS Francisco, Karl Medina, Jolina Espana @ Gala of Bwaya
