Rising stars Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji, the popular RabGel love team, are set to capture hearts once again in VIVA Film’s first major release of 2026, A Werewolf Boy. The cast and crew recently posed for photos at the film’s grand media conference, joined by Candy Pangilinan and director Crisanto B. Aquino.
The upcoming movie is a local adaptation of the 2012 South Korean fantasy romance film of the same name, which originally starred Song Jong Ki and Park Bo Young. In this Philippine version, Angeles and Muji take on the lead roles of Boy and Sara, respectively.
Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino, the story follows Sara, whose family discovers a feral boy living in their yard. Despite her initial apprehension, Sara and her family take him in. As Sara teaches Boy how to act like a normal human, the two form a deep bond, with Boy eventually becoming her protector.
Their relationship, however, is put to the test when men, led by Albie Casiño’s character, set out to hunt Boy after witnessing his werewolf transformation.
The film also features a special participation by veteran actress Lorna Tolentino, along with Candy Pangilinan, Yayo Aguila, Jeffrey Hidalgo, Rose Van Ginkel, Annika Co, Simon Ibarra, Onyl Torres, Raffy Tejada, Angel Raymundo, Francis Mata, Karl Medina, Ruslan Jacob, Lui Manansala, Kanye Avendaño, Luna Amor Buniag, Boaz Mariano, and Omar Flores.
’A Werewolf Boy’ is set to hit cinemas nationwide on January 14, 2026.
