When teenage Priscilla Beaulieu meets Elvis Presley at a party, the man who is already a meteoric rock-and-roll superstar becomes someone entirely unexpected in private moments: a thrilling crush, an ally in loneliness, a vulnerable best friend. Through Priscilla’s eyes, Sofia Coppola tells the unseen side of a great American myth in Elvis and Priscilla's long courtship and turbulent marriage, from a German army base to his dream-world estate at Graceland, in this deeply felt and ravishingly detailed portrait of love, fantasy, and fame.
Priscilla
is a touching biopic of a woman falling in love with a man. The two
main actors gave a sensible performance bringing into life the love
story of Priscilla and Elvis Presley. Cailee Spaeny shines as the
titular character alongside Jacob Elordi, who delivers a charismatic
portrayal of Elvis. You can feel the love and pain of their character on
the journey of their love story. I
love the details of the film, from the look and costume of the
characters that make go back to the memory lane of the 70's up to the
selection of scenes they put in the film to show to us the glimpse of
the life of the two. The selection of songs is also good that balance well to the mood and emotion of the characters. So If you are a fan of Elvis and know the story behind Priscilla’s perspective on their love story, this is a good film to watch.
