Movie Review: GG (Good Game): The Movie

Mourning the death of his beloved lola, an aspiring pro-gamer is forced to live with his estranged mother and lead his underdog esports team in secret. GG" tells the story of an aspiring and talented gamer Seth (Donny) who enters the competitive world of e-sports while navigating the complexities of a challenging family environment.

GG (Good Game) lets you glimpse into the world of gaming and play with your heart and soul at the same time. An emotional journey of playing through a game that will definitely touch your heart. Entertaining pace, great CGI and whimsical slice of sci-fi adventure. With Reasonable acting and the polished visuals, Donny Pangilinan immerses himself through his character as a gamer that has conflict with his mother. The rest of the supporting cast from Baron Geisler, Gold Ceron, Kaleb Ong, Johannes Risler and Igi Boy Flores live up to their role adding colorful journeys in the movie. It is refreshing to see Baron in a desirable and light role taking us back to his character in Tabing Ilog. Maricel Laxa and Donny Pangilinan's performance as mother and son is emotional and relatable. So if you want to relate to the world of gamers and bond with family, GG (Good Game) is a decent to watch.

My Verdict: 4/5
