KimPoy stars on their first film - My Zombabe

In mid-August, Kim Molina teased her Instagram followers with a photo of her and Empoy Marquez reading a script and captioned it with Are you reyydi Pilipinz? The serious labtim is coming.” It also came with a hashtag #KimPoyMovie”.

That #KimPoyMovie entitled “My Zombabe” is finally coming out in theaters on January 8, 2024, and as early as now, Viva Films proudly calls this “serious labtim” the “Deadliest Love Team of the Year!”

In a world infested by zombies, Empoy Marquez plays Pong and Kim Molina plays Yasmine. Pong is one of the few remaining men on the planet and he feels utterly lonely. He also misses Yasmine, the woman he loves, whom he believes has already perished.

But his world is rocked when he, together with his brother, discovers Yasmine’s body. Although she looks and shows signs of being a zombie, she hasn’t completely turned into one, and Pong is determined to save her.

Despite his brother’s protests, Pong brings Yasmine to their home and takes care of her. To be able to revive her human side, Yasmine must first regain her memory, and Pong takes all possible measures to help her. But part of her past as the beautiful love of Pong’s life is the ugly truth that she once ghosted him as she could not return his love.

Once Yasmine regains her memory and humanity, will she have the heart to love him back this time around?
