Movie Review: Us X Her

A millennial couple’s marriage struggles after both face an existential crisis. Mari (AJ Raval), a woman in her late 20s, regrets putting off her promising career for love and now wonders what could have been. Meanwhile, her husband, Dave (Kiko Estrada), handsome, manly, and certified eye candy, gets himself into a sexcapade with other women.

Their already troubled relationship is now bound for doom when Lila (Angeli Khang) enters the picture, a beautiful young woman obsessed with Dave, willing to be a mistress and do anything to win his affection.

Lila then plots a scheme to befriend Mari to bring chaos to the couple, but her plan backfires as she and Mari start to have a real connection and fall for each other. A modern-day love story that will make you see how love can change a person. Will Lila still pursue Dave? Or she'd choose this new-found feeling with Mari?

Us X Her is a sexy romantic movie with heart. The love scenes in the film are done passionately. It has a decent story to tell and elevated the sexy drama genre in the roster of Vivamax films. All of the three leads act well and deliver, giving their finest performance and justifying their characters. Kiko Estrada as the fragile husband, AJ Raval as the fierce wife and Angeli Khang as the effective villain. The chemistry of AJ and Kiko is good and they look together on most of the scenes. I can say that after watching this film, AJ Raval and Angeli Khang are promising actresses to watch out for in Viva Films as they already established themselves as the bankable stars and queens of Vivamax. In this film, they proved that they have acting prowess to showcase to the audience. Kiko Estrads is definitely a good actor and he already proved many times his caliber in acting. The screenplay and some of the scenes are out of the box and have an inner message to tell. It has crazy ideas with unexpected twists and turns.Overall, Us X Her is one of the quality films that you can watch in Vivamax.

My Verdict: 4/5
