Movie Review: Watch List

After her husband is mysteriously killed in the drug wars of the Philippines, a widowed mother of three must confront her own darkness to protect her children from further harm.

Written and directed by the Hollywood-based filmmaker Ben Rekhi. He described Watch List as a “hybrid” production. The Tagalog film entirely shot in Manila is a collaboration of cinema artists from the US and Philippines. It is backed by Hollywood-based company XYZ Films which is the movie’s executive producer.

Brave. Relevant. Affecting.
Watch List brings takes us to a closer look of the poor people in Metro Manila that become the victims of war against drug. The closeness and relevanceof this film to current events make this film more exciting to watch on silver screen. It is a decent tight suspense crime thriller film that will truly affect your heart. Watch List gave Alessandra De Rossi another fine performance that truly shows her depth and brilliance as an actress. Jake Macapagal, Micko Laurente and Timothy Mabalot also shine in this film with their remarkable performance. Watch List is now showing in PH Cinemas and soon will have its theatrical run in France and North American territories

My Verdict: 3.5/5
