Movie Review: Quezon's Game

The film revolves on the hidden chapter of Quezon’s life. It explores the time when he, together with his comrades, rescued Jewish refugees from the ghettos of Germany and Austria in 1938.

What seems within their power at first, turns out to be fraught with astronomical obstacles. On top of this, Quezon must battle a relapse of tuberculosis. In his final days, before recollecting one of the least known but most uplifting stories in Philippine history, Quezon asks the question: "Could I have done more?"

The positive point of the film is telling a story from our history that rarely discuss and written in books. An eye opener film that make us proud of being a Filipino. Quezon's Game is a revealing window of the good deeds that Manuel Quezon done to Jewish refugees. This film is not just simply a biopic of our beloved president but the film properly chosen the story that needs to be know by Filipinos. It is nice to see this kind of film that reflects where we was before and what does an old Manila or our old province look like before. Quezon's Game is highly recommended for students and to everyone for us to enhance our love for our dear country, Philippines. Quezon's Game is a timely film for patriotism and definitely a love letter for us Filipinos.
