Banal is a film about a group of young mountain adventurers who got lost in the dense forest. As the story unfolds strange things happen that lead them to an adventure that they never expect.
Banal succeeds as a youth oriented shocker adventure suspense horror
film due to its efficient cast, decent production value and distressed
pacing. As the movie progressed it got more interesting and very intense. Then the movie got more and more intense with blood gore and screams of terror towards the peak of the film.
Fine acting chops were given to the five main cast which anyone
can identify their selves in one of the characters. Andrea Brillantes is
an effective antagonist that you will surely hate on this film. Taki and Kim Last blends well with the team and own up their character that both challenge their selves in this film Miguel Tanfelix who serves as a leader of the group is a leading man material and can act well. Bianca Umali as a mystery girl will hook you and will surely make you follow her journey on this film. Bianca, I can say is one of the good young actress of her generation. If your up for an entertaining horror suspense film, watch Banal with your friends as this is surely a barkada treat.
