Parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet - in her own family home. Insidious: The Last Key is sequel to the prequel of “Insidious: Chapter 3” and a prequel to the original “Insidious,” which ended with Elise’s death.
I had a fair share of scare and scream inside the cinema while watching this decently made horror film. You must be an insidious fan and have watched the previous three movies in order to enjoy and appreciate this.
Lin Shaye did a excellent performance. The Last Key is a decent enough entry for the installment that delivers quite effective character build-up with Lin Shaye's character (Elise). The usual film ingredients they used for this franchise, the jump scares, twists and the comedy part of the film franchise was still here. So if you just love to watch a horror film with your friends that will surprise and make you scream once in a while, this movie is for you.
