Star Cinema opens 2018 with a laugh out loud film as it joins forces with Quantum Films and The Idea First Company in the women empowerment dramedy Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes starring Judy Ann Santos and Angelica Panganiban.
Directed by Jun Robles Lana with an original story he developed and a screenplay he co-wrote with Elmer Gatchalian, Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes marks the first ever big screen team of Judy Ann and Angelica, who are two of the most celebrated actresses in the industry today.
Judy Ann Santos and Angelica Panganiban play as devoted wives who got cheated on by their husbands who turn out to be gay in the film “Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes”. With their combined forces, they will make sure their exes don’t get what they took away from them: a happy ending.
JC de Vera and Joross Gamboa play as their husbands with Gladys Reyes and Carmi Martin as the crazy women surrounding them.
Andrea Brillantes is part of the cast as well as the daughter to Judy Ann’s character.
Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes is Judy Ann’s grand comeback to mainstream cinema as her last full-length movie was Kusina, which was an official entry to the 12th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival in 2016.
Angelica, on the other hand, also returns to the big screen fresh from her recent Best Actress victory in FAMAS 2017 for her superb performance in The Unmarried Wife, which was shown in November 2016.
Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes showing in cinemas nationwide starting January 17.
