Movie Review: The Conjuring 2

In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren come out of a self-imposed sabbatical to travel to Enfield, a borough in north London. There, they meet Peggy Hodgson, an overwhelmed single mother of four who tells the couple that something evil is in her home. Ed and Lorraine believe her story when the youngest daughter starts to show signs of demonic possession. As the Warrens try to help the besieged girl, they become the next target of the malicious spirits.

With its good screenplay and direction by James Wan there are some comedy and sweet moments that worked with this film that you don't usually see on a horror film. I love the story, the songs used in the film and the great acting from the children up to Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and Madison Wolfe. The Conjuring 2 was an overall incredibly satisfying movie that completely surpasses the first film. Captivating, suspense, realistic shock factor and over entertaining. An excellent Hollywood horror suspense film. A must watch and I can say the best horror movie so far this year.

My Verdict: 5/5
