Movie Review: She's The One

Bea and Dingdong play best friends Cat and Wacky. The two may have been friends for years but their true feelings for each other only emerged when Bea's character was seen forming a close relationship with mystery man Enrique Gil.

A very refreshing romantic feel good film offering of Star Cinema this year. First team up of Bea and Dingdong that was compatible physically because of their mestizo and mestiza look, aside from the fact that they are the bankable and acclaimed actor and actress of Star Cinema that makes them a good combination. Even though the film has a common story to tell about best friends falling in love to each other, in fairness to this film they provided different treatment, approach and twist and the film has been able to adapt as well the current technology that we have today especially the social network, that make this film different and I appreciate more and enjoy watching. I was wrong on my first take that there’s nothing new in this film as it surpass my expectation.

Ginawan ng writer at director ng different and modern approach ang isang common bestfriends love story.  Mabilis ang phasing at nailahad ng maayos ang story. Maayos ang pagkakagawa ng script and screenplay. Good job for the director and writers of the film. The setting of the film surrounds the group of friends which in their late 20’s already.
Every barkada scenes of the film was very natural. 

Though it’s a formula movie still they did it well at pumasa sa aking panlasa for a quality mainstream film to. Malaking tulong na mahusay umarte ang 2 bida na sina Bea and Dingdong ma pa light scene man yan or heavy scene. Bea is such a natural actress naapprecite ko yung pagiging natural niya sa pelikulang ito. Though I watched her several times in this kind of genre movie ay may naipakita pa rin siyang bago sa pelikulang ito at higit sa lahat as I always say mahal na mahal ng camera si Bea Alonzo dahil wala siyang angulo napakaganda ng rehistro niya sa screen lalo na ngayun na DCP na sa sinehan, she’s so damn beautiful. For Dingdong for me mas nakita ko ang development niya as an actor here na kailangan lang niyang mabigyan ng magandang material para maipakita ang husay niya as an actor at Star Cinema ang nakapagbigay sa kanya nun. Chemistry wise they did have and they both justified their characters here in the film. Bumagay din kay Enrique ang kanyang role and Liza Soberano is also a breakthrough actress to watch to. Mahusay si Maricar Reyes as a support here, nagustuhan ko yung scene nila ni Bea inside the car.

Maayos ang pagkakagawa ng pelikula and this is not a common pinoy love story. I can also predict that this will get a box – office hit as well in terms of reception of the audience when I watch this at the cinema. It’s not only a kilig movie for me I appreciate more of the love story of the 2 main characters na talagang kakapitan mo towards the end. A well - balanced light drama comedy quality romantic movie to watch to.
