Movie Review: Gaydar

The film casts a refreshing take on modern relationships as he takes  on the themes of romantic  obsession, real identities, and perhaps true love. Tina’s love live seems doomed as every guy she falls for turns out to be…into other guys. She vows never to fail in love again and seeks solace in the company of her gay best friend Nick. Her life gets a turnaround when she meets a handsome FX driver that unleashes a dizzying string of surprises.

I like the film. I like the treatment and the flow of the movie. Well established yung character ni Pauleen at Rafael sa movie. Feasible na pede mangyari sa totoong buhay ang pelikulang ito. The film is very different to the typical silent works of direk Alvin Yapan. Kaya din pala niyang gumawa ng ganitong genre na feel good romantic maindie film. A different love story about best friends turns into lovers and that’s the inner layer of the film more than the gaydar victim story. After watching this film ang gaan sa pakiramdam. Plus factor na rin siguro sa akin dahil there are some of the scenes sa film na nangyari din sa akin kaya medyo nakapitan ko yung film. The movie is effective to tell us a different kind of love story na pwedeng pwedeng mangyari sa totoong buhay lalo na sa mga boy- girl bestfriends.

Maayos ang pagkakagawa ng pelikula. A good movie project for Pauleen na matagal na natin na di napapanood sa pelikula. Mahusay ang pagkakaganap niya rito. Very natural and light lang. Rafael and Tom are good as well. And I can say na patok nga ngayun si Tom Rodriguez due to hype of My Husband’s Lover. Isang magandang pelikula para sa magkaibigan na nagkaibigan. A feel good gay friendly romantic indie flick to watch to.

My Verdict:  3.5/5

Pauleen Luna @ Premiere of Gaydar

Rafael Rosell @ Premiere of Gaydar
