              Naaliw ako sa mga animation film I did not expect na kaya din pala ng pinoy and to think na the film came from the province pa Ateneo De Naga. Pinakanagustuhan ko is Sanayan Lang Ang Pagpatay its very funny unique and creative. Ok din yung Anime movie na Himig. So may mga experimental din na ipinakita and yung pinaka nagustuhan ko is yung Class Picture kakaibang approach ad good cinematography.

SYNOPSIS

“Imik” is the story of Claire – wife to a loving husband, mother to two lovely kids, and she has never had an orgasm. Embarrassment, guilt, and a fear of her own desires have made her sexual relationship with her husband a constant struggle. These days, Claire’s only relief is being back in the workforce after having been a housewife for years.

Until one day, Claire suddenly finds herself pregnant again.

Coupled with her unfulfilled desires as a woman, Claire’s fear of going back to the life she had before leads her to desperately find a moment of freedom from the role she cannot escape.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES

“Imik” is the product of many intimate conversations I’ve had with female friends -  most of them married or in serious long-term relationships – over cigarette breaks, lunch breaks, and even late night chats. Unfortunately, these conversations have been the best source of sex education for women faced with the complexities of sexual relationships especially in an extremely patriarchal society.

It is quite surprising how many Filipino women, no matter how seemingly liberated lives they had as single women, find themselves helpless and confused after a few years of marriage. And talking about it is the hardest thing to do. They whisper, they blush, and most of all, they fear these desires and of being found out by their male partners lest they suffer the consequences – a cold shoulder, an ultimatum or being called ungrateful, immoral, and sometimes a whore. However, despite this fear, there has always been an overwhelming need to be understood and heard. Hence, this film project.

My Review

The movie tackles a sensitive topic about satisfaction of a woman.  The movie is just ok.

The congress also discuss the problem in film distribution kung saan ang mga malls preferred na kung may line up ka kung ikaw ay isang producer kaya mahirap makapasok ang mga indie film maker cause the distributor mas pinapapaburan ang mga mainstream producer kung san ginawang example ni Tammy producer ng Zombadings na binlind item pa niya yung pangiipit sa kanila ng Star Cinema over the movie Wedding OO Weedding Hindi.

               

Movie Review: Sta. Niňa

Eto na yata yung pinaka well attended na  gala night for this season yung tipong  may nag away pa sa pila, nagmistulang premire night  ito sa mega mall. Nagulat pa nga si Alessandra de Rossi sa dami ng tao at nasabing “ Ano to ,Mainstream? “ Alam naman natin na ang pinuntahan ng mga tao ay si Coco at hindi ang movie niya. Full force din ang support ng mga Kapamilya Artist sa movie like Shaina Jake Enrique Susan James Eda Aiko Pops what a star studded gala night.

   

Movie Review : Kalayaan

           Well the movie is kinda boring. Puro mga establishing shots lang. Wala masyadong script and because of that inantok ako. Hindi ko rin nagets yung story. Medyo lalim laliman yung movie at naguluhan talga ako. Meron din scene Im wondering kung talagang kelangan pa ba ilagay like yung opening scene which is the BJ scene its kinda off to me. Di ko rin nagets kung totoo ba talga yung sirena doon or imagination niya lang. But infairness sa mga other reviews lalo na yung mga artist e naappreciate nila ito at nagandahan sila. Good point ng movie sa akin is yung production design.

Dito they discuss the difference of an indie and mainstream though other would not like to put definition cause it will just put boundary or limits. But they are clear in saying that mainstream movies are movies created by big studio company like Star Cinema Regal Viva and GMA Films while indie are independently produce but not by big company. Sa mainstream the goal is kumita yung pelikula sa indei it's just an expression of art. Sa mainstream nakakahon ang mga story its like templated already while sa indie its out of the box extra ordinary experimental and pagkakagawa. Nasabi din na pag indie low budgeted but they disagree kc even indie can cost a lot of money depende na lang sa producer.

Movie Review: Bwakaw

A star studded gala na puro taga channel 7 and 5 yung dumating,like Marvin Agustin BB Gandanghari ,Karyl ,Kael Diether Ocampo and Paco of PBB. Madami ding tao at mahaba ang pila. After the gala night andun din ang talent star ng TV 5 na sina Danita Paner Arci Munoz and the product of TV 5 artista search reality show.

I kinda expect a lot sa movie dahil maganda yung trailer  but medyo na disappoint ako. Kasi very indie talaga yung approach sa film. Movie Review : Posas

Gala Night of Posas. Medyo na reach nung movie yung expectation ko. I did not expect na simple lan yung plot ng film. I expected more. Though informative yung film and very realistic ang approach pinakita talaga dito yung totoong nangyayari sa mga theft cases. I expected  lang siguro na medyo mas matapang and may kakaibang twist yung movie nevertheless the movie turn out to be good and may patama din yung kwento sa reality ng buhay natin. Justice system, police brutality poverty etc. The actors are great Nico Antonio justify the role very natural acting gusto ko yung batuhan nila ng linya ni  Wendy Valdez sa isang scene ok yun.

Movie Review : Requieme

Sa opening speech pa lang ni Direk Roy sa Gala Night ay sinabi na niya na nagkaroon ng technical issue yung film sa other screening sa trinoma  and medyo rush na rin sila sa post prod. Nagbigay na siya ng bababala in case magka aberya at iyon nga ang nangyari towards the start of the film naghahang na and it continue to happen until the end of the movie para tuloy kami nanonood ng pirated DVD. Sabi ng nasa likod ko nasira daw yung mga film pagkaconvert into a certain file it happens as well sa other competing films. Nevertheless despite of technical issues maganda yung movie good screenplay and na touch ako sa ilang mga eksena. I said to myself. I am going to watch it again. Kakaiba yung plot ng movie at atake na ginawa. Kahit 2 seperate story nagawa nila pagtagni tagniin yung mga eksena na maging related sa isat isa .  Good Job sila doon.

Sabi ng director na si Dante Garcia he did this film without pressure unlike what he did in Ploning. He enjoyed doing this film. This is the first gala night that I will watch unexpectedly ang dami pinareserve n seats ni  Direk Marie kaya kaming mga naka Festival Pass no choice but to seat in front. Direk Marie is taking the video for the people who attended  and ask us to wave. She was so cool and cute. Pinakilala na yung mga cast  sabi ni Direk Marie nag mistulang Fans Day daw ni Ms Dawn Zulueta dahil sa support ng mga fans niya. Ms. Dawn is very beautiful and looks young at her age. I like the opening credit of the film It was very creative I swear! Agaw eksena and mga hirit ni Alcris Galura, Kelvin Yu and Marc Abaya.  The movie also tackle the upper middle class family. All about  high end artists na hindi naman ako makarelate. All through out the movie they use songs. Pinakanagustuhan ko is when they use the song MINSAN by EHEADS. I love that scene swear.

Movie Review : The Animals

I am so excited to watch this film. Direk Gino thanks us for coming despite the rain.  This is the first screening of the movie ever. Albie is also present on that screening. The movie was so strong and brave. It tackles issues about this youth generation from love, sex, lifestyle ,fraternity family relationship peer pressure and others particularly in upper middle class family. Maganda yung pagkakapresent , napakarealaistic especially dun sa scene na naguusap silang magbabarkada sa canteen nagandahan ako sa approach kasi very natural they just talk habang  ang ganda ng shots ng camera. Very realistic din yung script na parang nakikinig ka lang sa typical na pinaguusapan ng mga kabataan ngayun. Shocking din yung mga bugbugan scene sa fraternity and sa party as in ibang approach sya. Sa make out scene naman ni allbie and dawn there is a tounge.

Opening Day Cinemalaya

This is the opening day. From work derecho na agad ng ccp. I like the gallery of posters and souvenir materials for the competing films. The poster that I like the most is for the Ang Nawawala. Opening prorgam is cosplaying ng mga indie character so ilan sa mga agaw eksena ay sina aka Mercedes Cabral  of Ligo Na U, Cherry Pie in Foster Child,Rome and Juliet ,Zombadings, Lilia Cuntapay ,Long shot of Lav diaz and others. Pinakita yung mga trailers at pinakilala ang mga directors. Doon ko nalaman na cute pala si direk Lem Lorca and Gino Santos hehe then may dating din si Direk Marie Jamora mas lalo ako na excite sa mga films nila.
