Filipino fans of K-drama star Kim Ji-soo will see him again on the big screen as he made his Filipino comeback movie, “Mujigae,” which earned a PG (Parental Guidance) rating from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
He stars with Filipina actress Alexa Ilacad and child star Ryrie Sophia in the film reviewed by Board Members (BMs) Juan Revilla, Fernando Prieto, and Jerry Talavera.
Movies rated PG require parents to accompany their children, providing them an opportunity for an educated interaction to interpret the film’s content.
Science fiction films, “The Wild Robot” and “Alien Country,” were also rated PG, like “Bocchi the Rock: Recap Part 1” and “The Forge” by BMs Bobby Andrews, Angel Jamias, and Katrina Angela Ebarle.
The reviewers said the movies may contain sensitive themes that may need parental guidance for viewers below 13 years old.
“Bagman” and “Aftermath” from Pioneer Films earned an R-13 (Restricted-13) rating due to suspense, violence, language, suffering, and psychological effects that are not suitable for children 13 and below.
MTRCB Chairperson Lala Sotto-Antonio said the Filipino family deserves cinematic experience under a safe atmosphere of responsible viewing in the company of kids with proper guidance and enlightenment.
“We remind all supervising adults to reference our age-appropriate rating to determine the best films to be enjoyed by their families,” Sotto-Antonio said.
