Geraldine Jennings wants to empower listeners with her music

Napakalakas ng dating ng bagong Star Music artist na si Geraldine Jennings.

Siya ay ang half-British, half-Pinay talent ng LVD Talent Management na desisidong subukan ang kanyang  showbiz career sa bansa.

As a singer, bata pa lang daw ay hilig na niya ang pagkanta.

"At a young age, I loved singing. My mom enrolled me in singing and guitar classes. I just loved it. I studied it in Los Angeles. And I grew to love the craft. Tito Leo (Dominguez) has been asking to do this for a while now. It's been in the works for two years. Finally, I got the chance to do it. It's my passion. I love the arts," lahad niya.

Maituturing daw naman niyang big musical influence ang American pop idol na si Miley Cyrus para sa kanya.

"Even when I was young probably around 5 years old, I used to watch her on TV and her performances on YouTube. I love Hanna Montana and I love that she has a double life as a singer and on the side as an actress. Hence, I can relate,” paliwanag niya.

Sumali na rin daw siya at nanalo sa mga prestihiyosong singing contests sa UK.

"I joined a singing competition, ‘Teenstar UK’ in 2018 and reached the finals. I also won the prestigious future music award in the Open Mic singing competition in the UK and got to perform at the O2 Arena in London," pagbabahagi niya.

Bukod kay Miley, fan din daw siya nina Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa at Katy Perry.

Isang malaking karangalan din daw para sa kanya na ang first single niyang “If I Will Ever Love Again” ay nilikha ng multi-awarded singer-somposer na si  Ogie Alcasid.

“I’m quite honored that Ogie Alcasid wrote my first single. It’s a really beautiful, sweet love song, " hirit niya.

Sobra rin daw siyang nakaka-relate sa mensahe ng nasabing komposisyon.

Dagdag pa niya, gusto rin daw niyang ma-inspire ang mga tao sa kanyang musika.

“It’s about loving someone and the feeling of heartbreak which I’m sure a lot of people have experienced. But I wanted to add a sense of empowerment towards the end of the song that you will be able to love again,” pahayag niya.

Thankful din siya na mabigyan siya ng pagkakataong maging bahagi ng premiere music label sa bansa.

“I’m very grateful and excited to be part of Star Music. It is a very reputable company, so to be able to be part of it for my first ever single is a dream come true,” dugtong niya.

Bilang musical artist, gusto rin daw niyang maka-collaborate sina Sarah Geronimo at Darren Espanto.

Sa kasalukuyan, pinasok na rin ni Geraldine ang pag-arte via her launching movie na "Isla Babuyan."
