Known for his social commentary and memorable Cinemalaya films, Bahay Bata, Quick Change and Pamilya Ordinaryo, filmmaker Eduardo Roy Jr is back with his latest film Fucc Bois, a Cinemalaya 2019 official entry. Fucc Bois tells the story of best buddies Ace and Miko which are a seasoned beauty pageant contenders. They live in a world where showing up in their bikini briefs is the easiest way to achieve fortune and celebrity status. But an ex-lover is threatening to expose them and shock their thousands of their followers in social media.

Joining Kokoy and Royce in Fucc Bois is the award winning actor Ricky Davao. After making his first mainstream film Last Fool Show, Eduardo Roy Jr. returns with his fouth Cinemalaya film, Fuccbois. He is known for his film Pamilya Ordinaryo, which won Best Film, Best Director, NETPAC Award, Best Actress and Best Editor at the 2017 Cinemalaya. His other Cinemalaya films were Quick Change (2013) and Bahay Bata (2011). All of Roy’s films are based from research and interviews mostly with individuals that he encounters. He is always engaging with the ordinary and mundane, and the filmmaker in him is always hungry for stories that are unfolding. He follows these stories with a fervent hope that the underdog, the marginalized will emerge triumphant in some way.
Cinemalaya 2019 runs from Aug 2-11 2019 at various venues of the CCP and August 7 to 13, at selected Ayala Cinemas and Vista Malls in Manila, Pampanga, Naga and Legaspi in Bicol, Bacolod, Iloilo and Davao.
