Black Sheep's collaborations lead to two entries for the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2019: The Panti SIsters and Open

On its first year, Black Sheep has already collaborated with a diverse lineup of filmmakers and producers to tell brand new stories on the big screen for the new Filipino audience to enjoy.

Two of Black Sheep's collaboration will soon to be experienced in cinemas nationwide as official entries to the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2019.

The first of two Black Sheep releases was announced last March as one of three entries chosen by the panel based on their screenplays. The Panti Sisters is the latest film in the The Idea First Company's "Beautiful Universe". Director Jun Lana brings three of the most beautiful faces to the big screen together in one incredible story.

In The Panti Sisters, Martin del Rosario, Christian Bables and Paolo Ballesteros play three gay brothers brought together by their dying father only to find themselves in a difficult situation when their father asks each of them for a grandchild in exchange for an extravagant inheritance. The three must set aside their differences and realize the true meaning of family in this comedy about acceptance, respect and loving  your own skin no matter what color of PANTIes you wear. The film is also made in collaboration with ALV films and stars John Arcilla, Rosanna Roces, Carmi Martin and Roxanne Barcelo.

Black Sheep's second entry, Open is the latest edition to the PPP 2019 lineup aong with six other finished films chosen to complete the lineup. The film directed by Andoy Ranay was made in partnership with T-REX Entertainment. Open stars Arci Muñoz and JC Santos in a modern romantic film about a long-term couple who find themselves exploring a radical solution in order to save their crumbling relationship.

To their friends, they are the perfect couple but Rome (Muñoz) and Ethan (Santos) are starting to feel that their romance has gone stale. In order to spice it up, Ethan suggessts to explore the idea of going open. Rome feels she can only keep her man by agreeing to him. As they meet others along the way, they begin to realize that their ideal solution is definitely not all fun and games. Will this solve their problems or will it cause even more cracks in their relationship?

Open is a fresh, sexy take on the romance genre that tackles the real and raw aspects of modern love. The film also stars Vance Larena, Ina Raymundo, Sofia Andres and introducing Ivana Alawi.

On the 100th year of Philippine Cinema, Black Sheep wants to celebrate by bringing new stories that deserve to be told and enjoyed by Filipinos nationwide.
