Movie Review: Last Night

Mark (Piolo Pascual), a man who lost everything, meets Carmina (Toni Gonzaga), a woman who lost the love of her life one dark night. Both at the end of their threads, unexpectedly begin something -- a deal that leads to friendship, a connection that blooms into love. They unknowingly start something. Love in its earliest stages at the end of their human existence. Does love go on? Or does it end with them? Will they choose to love even if it's the last night of their lives?

Prepare your heart as you experience roller coaster of emotion upon watching Last Night. The film will let you appreciate more of your life and let you embrace all the obstacles that you gone through. A different kind of bitter sweet love story that deserve to be told. A colorful and vibrant story that mixes the happy and sad turns of life. I love the cinematography of the film as I appreciate more our very own Manila after watching this and it captured Manila as one of the romantic city that you'll ever had. I also love the theme song of the film Sa'yo sung by Ebe Dancel that was so heartfelt. Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga did a fantastic job in this movie as they embrace their characters well. Bernal's direction coupled with right mood and tone of the film as well as effective performances from Piolo and Toni help  to create a wonderful and nostalgic treat at the cinema. If you want to watch something new, refreshing and will touch your heart, watch Last Night.

My Verdict: 4/5
