FALL in love with the blockbuster tandem of Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano in My Ex And Whys – Star Cinema’s much-awaited romantic movie this Valentine season.
Directed by critically acclaimed and box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina, who is widely considered as an icon in the rom-com genre, My Ex And Whys marks her very first film project with LizQuen, which is undoubtedly one of the hottest and most successful love teams in the industry today.
On the bloggers' conference, LizQuen shares their journey as a love team starting from their first film She's The One and first TV Series Forevermore. Truly they develop strong friendship and much more closeness to each other in every project that they made. Liza recalled that she even called Enrique, "kuya' before when they starting. Liza also shares that even if she is now considered as one of the beautiful face in the industry, she still have a lot of things that she needs to learn to. The two also talk about insecurities, moving on and their experiences while shooting the film in Korea. When ask about their ideal place to date in Valentine's day, Liza choose Luneta and Enrique choose beach. The two will spend their Valentine's day this year at Cebu with a mall tour for My Ex and Whys at SM Seaside City Cebu.
In the movie, Enrique and Liza play ex-couple Gio and Cali. Cali could not move on with the fact that Gio cheated on her and the two are reunited by an unexpected project that could bring them back together. Gio wants to prove that he is a changed man but Cali refuses to believe him. The estranged couple flies to Korea for an event and Cali gets the shock of her life as she finds herself confused with her feelings for Gio all over again.
My Ex And Whys is now officially part of Star Cinema’s great tradition of bringing high caliber romantic movies every February and it marks the very first Valentine film collaboration between Enrique and Liza. My Ex And Whys takes after the unforgettable roster of Star Cinema movies that have romanced millions of moviegoers such as Miss You Like Crazy (2010), Unofficially Yours (2012), Starting Over Again (2014), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), and Unofficially Yours (2016) to mention a few.
It should be noted that My Ex And Whys is the first movie of Enrique and Liza after the blockbuster hit Everyday I Love You, which was shown in 2015. This is also their first project since the mammoth success of their top-rating primetime TV series Dolce Amore, which aired on ABS-CBN last year.
