VMX Brings Back Fan-Favorite Scenes with Todo Kayod 2 and Daddy's Girl

VMX continues to expand its growing library of themed content with the back-to-back media conference for its upcoming titles, Todo Kayod 2 and Daddy's Girl. Unlike traditional films or series, both releases are curated anthology programs that revisit memorable scenes from past VMX Originals and Viva Films, bringing together some of the platform's most recognizable moments under a single theme.

Todo Kayod 2, hosted by Sahara Bernales and newcomer Alecca Adarna, highlights stories centered on different professions, featuring workers from various fields including security guards, drivers, teachers, HR personnel, and more. Directed by Roman Perez Jr., the anthology revisits workplace-themed stories that became popular among VMX viewers.

During the press conference, Direk Roman shared that researching the featured clips also became a nostalgic experience for him. While reviewing the VMX library, he rediscovered several memorable scenes that he had almost forgotten.

As one of VMX's longtime directors, Roman also expressed his excitement in introducing Alecca Adarna as one of the hosts. Alecca, who previously appeared in the Viva One series Avenues of the Diamond and the film A Special Memory, revealed that Viva boss Vic del Rosario Jr. encouraged her to join VMX after seeing her potential to take on daring roles. Direk Roman even compared her screen presence to 1990s sexy star Amanda Page.

Meanwhile, Daddy's Girl, hosted by Astrid Lee and directed by Christian Paolo Lat, explores stories revolving around age-gap relationships, authority, temptation, and forbidden attraction. The anthology combines classic Viva films with VMX Originals that present different interpretations of the theme.

Astrid was equally candid during the media conference. She admitted that she is open to dating an older man as long as he is single. She also shared that veteran actor Albert Martinez is one of her celebrity crushes and expressed her hope of working with him in a future project.

The actress also openly discussed the challenges of filming intimate scenes, saying she trusted the production process throughout the shoot. She shared that she was comfortable performing scenes with only minimal wardrobe protection when required, especially during scenes filmed privately with only the necessary people present.

Premiering on July 28, Todo Kayod 2 features hosts Sahara Bernales and Alecca Adarna under the direction of Roman Perez Jr. The anthology includes stories such as Sawsawan, Kalakal, Check In, Sulutan, and Lamas, each exploring different workplace settings through VMX's signature storytelling style.

Following on August 11 is Daddy's Girl, hosted by Astrid Lee and directed by Christian Paolo Lat. The collection brings together classic Filipino films including May Daga sa Labas ng Lunga, May Lamok sa Loob ng Kulambo, and Batangueño Kabiteño, alongside VMX Originals such as Kinsenas, Katapusan, Pilya, Daddy Sitter, Private Tutor, Stepdaddy, and Sugarbaby.

Both titles continue VMX's approach of curating themed collections from its growing catalog while introducing viewers to both classic and original productions. Todo Kayod 2 begins streaming exclusively on VMX on July 28, while Daddy's Girl follows on August 11. Both titles are available with a VMX subscription for ₱169 per month.
