Lunok and Bagong Tukso 2.0 Showcase New Stories and Rising Stars

VMX recently held a back-to-back media conference for its upcoming originals Lunok and Bagong Tukso 2.0, giving members of the entertainment press an exclusive look at the films and the talents behind them.

For Lunok, director Ranierio "Rain" Yamson II shared his inspiring journey from working as a cinematographer to finally taking the director's chair. He discussed how his years behind the camera helped shape his visual storytelling and influenced the way he approached directing Lunok, a thriller that blends suspense, mystery, and emotional tension.

Leading lady Astrid Lee also opened up about her experience filming the movie, revealing that she found herself relating to her character in more ways than one. She reflected on how some of the emotions and situations in Lunok resonated with her own life, allowing her to deliver a more personal and authentic performance.

Premiering exclusively on VMX on July 17, 2026, Lunok stars Astrid Lee, Allison Ross, Anthony Dabao, and Mhack Morales. The film follows two thrill-seeking best friends whose carefree beach getaway turns into a dangerous game of seduction, deception, and shocking revelations.

Meanwhile, the media conference for Bagong Tukso 2.0 brought plenty of energy as newcomers Akira Takamura and Angel Castro entertained members of the press with their candid and no-holds-barred answers.

Akira introduced herself as one of VMX's newest stars, sharing her excitement about joining the platform and embracing new opportunities in the industry. Angel, on the other hand, spoke about carrying a well-known showbiz legacy as the daughter of actors Diego Castro and Raven Villanueva. She also looked back on her beginnings as a GMA Sparkle Artist Center talent before deciding to take a new direction in her career by becoming part of the growing VMX family.
