The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) met with Disney Southeast Asia (SEA) executives on February 18 to discuss parental control measures and the promotion of age-appropriate content.
During the meeting, MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto-Antonio, Vice Chairperson Atty. Paulino Cases, Jr., Executive Director II Roberto Diciembre, MTRCB Legal Affairs Division Chief, Anna Farinah Mindalano, alongside Disney SEA representatives Shruti Mehta and Vineet Puri, and Disney Worldwide Vice President for Government Relations Joe Welch, explored strategies for empowering parents and guardians in guiding young viewers.
“As an Agency dedicated to fostering responsible viewing habits, MTRCB recognizes the importance of equipping families with the right tools to navigate today’s digital landscape,” said Sotto-Antonio. “We commend Disney for their commitment to providing safer and more enriching media experiences for children.”
Disney SEA presented their latest parental control tools, designed to help parents manage screen time and ensure a more secure digital environment for their children.
With this collaboration, MTRCB continues to push forward in its mission to protect and empower Filipino viewers.
