Song of the Fireflies To Make Hollywood Premiere at MIFF 2025

After its special screening attended by friends, colleagues, cast and crew, last January 9, 2025 at the Opus Cinema, Song of the Fireflies will make its world premiere at the prestigious 2025 Manila International Film Festival. The premiere will take place at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on February 1, 2025, celebrating the global debut of this remarkable Filipino film.

This milestone event not only honors the rich tradition of Filipino storytelling but also shines a spotlight on the Loboc Children's Choir and their incredible journey, bringing their story to an international audience. “Song of the Fireflies” stars powerhouse Filipino performers Morissette, Krystal Brimner, Noel Comia Jr. and Rachel Alejandro.  Completing the cast includes Chai Fonacier, Kai Cortez, Via Antonio, Tommy Alejandrino, Geneva Cruz and Jeffrey Hidalgo.

 

Song of the Fireflies tells the heartwarming and inspiring true story of the Loboc Children's Choir, a group of talented young singers from the small town of Loboc, Bohol. Against personal and communal struggles, this choir finds solace and strength in music, rising above adversity to share their voices with the world. Their story is one of resilience, unity, and the transformative power of art.
