A good daughter and a reliable sister, Yanyan will do anything for her family. She also loves preparing meals and cooking for them to show how much she cares. With her cooking, she’ll also try to get to know Blue, the handsome young man who is often cold and distant from everyone but is also the man who did not hesitate to take care of Yanyan when she was in need.
Yanyan exerts an effort to win Blue’s affection because she could not forget what he had done for her and can’t help but fall for him. Is Yanyan finally the one who can take away Blue’s blues? Or will it be another tiresome and failed mission to win his heart? To begin with, does Blue still even have a heart?
I love the quirkiness and uniqueness of this film. How To Love Mr.
Heartless is another not typical romantic comedy film from Jason Paul
Laxamana. Both of the leads Sue Ramirez and Diego Loyzaga are tailor
made on their character and effectively portray their role in this film. Sue Ramirez as the bubbly optimistic girl with dark pask and Diego
Loyzaga as the loner and Mr. Know it all, both of them nailed their
characters well. The screenplay is extraordinary and entertaining. The cinematography of
the film is also commendable from its color grading and lighting up to
the location of the film that is effectively used in the film. The film
is well researched and shows us some trivia about life and places. I
also learned a lot of things while watching this film and that set this
romantic comedy stand out from the others.
My Verdict: 4/5
