At the age of 50 and status of her career, Jean Garcia still challenged herself on her upcoming psychological action thriller film, Watch Me Kill. Jean says that she easily yes to the project as it is rare for an actress like her to get this kind of acting project and opportunity.
She says ““Honestly, hindi ako ang unang ikinunsider rito. For me naman, it doesn’t matter kung first pick ka, o second pick. Ang importante, ikaw ang gumawa ng pelikula. Nagustuhan ko kasi iyong story kasi never pa akong nakakagawa ng ganitong klaseng character.
“Sa edad ko ring ito, at 50, gusto ko ring i-challenge ang sarili ko na kaya kong gawin ang ganitong klaseng pelikula. Gusto ko ring ma-experience na maidirek ng isang direktor na nag-aral talaga sa Amerika.”

Joining Jean Garcia in the film are Jay Manalo, Junyka Santarin, Althea Vega and Rodolfo Muyuela. Watch Me Kill is helmed by the direction of Tyrone Acierto. This is his second film after his successful debut film, The Grave Bandits, which gave him the Best Director Award and also bags the Best Picture for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2012 New Wave Section. The film also premiered at Marche Du Cannes at the Cannes film market.
Watch Me Kill is about a ruthless woman assassin which her plan got interrupted when she discovers that the man she needs to kill has more to hide than expected. Her life unravels as she must juggle her new priorities with her inner demons. Set in a world where violence rules over virtue, she must face the hardest reality - is she the real danger or the monsters that control the criminal world?
Watch Me Kill will be hitting theaters nationwide on September 13, as part of the 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
