Movie Review: Kusina Kings

Despite obvious differences, easy-go-lucky kitchen naive Ronnie (Zanjoe Marudo) and chef restaurateur Benjie (Empoy Marquez) have been best friends since high school. When Benjie decided to put up his own restaurant La Luna Sa Hungry, Ronnie has never left his side – especially now that Benjie has joined in the shady “Kusina King Challenge” to save the restaurant.

The two best friends, however, have a falling out when Ronnie has wrongly given Benjie’s startup money for the Challenge to a scammer. Things then go out of proportion with Ronnie accidentally placing Benjie in a coma. Benjie does not know that it is Ronnie’s fault – and Ronnie does not want to confess to Benjie either.

Kusina Kings is a hilarious naughty comedy that works with the good combination of Empoy and Zanjoe that perfectly blends together. I love the seriousness of Empoy's character in this film which made it different to other films he has done. Zanjoe is funny with oozing sex appeal in this film. Nathalie and Maxine are not just pretty faces but super game and charming in this film. So if you just want to be entertained and just laugh out loud with the hilarious cast, watch Kusina Kings.

My Verdict: 3/5
