Directed By: Andoy Ranay
What The Movie is About:
Ever wondered what things could possibly trouble those who
are wealthy enough to buy whatever their heart desires? Find out in director
Andoy Ranay’s hilarious take on the supposed challenges of Manila’s social
elite in the romantic comedy Sosy Problems.
“It’s about ’yong mga simple problems of the rich people in
Metro Manila,” divulges director Andoy Ranay.
“It’s a comedy tungkol do’n sa buhay ng mga mayayaman. We’re
not really naman poking fun at them.
We’re just presenting to the audience how
these rich people would react to certain things.
"Parang they’re very clueless kasi on the reality of
the society, like what’s happening. Maybe they do know, but not as thorough as
regular people.”
He notes: “I think this is a very brave concept, a brave
approach. The idea here is really going on the edge. Because of the comedy, pag
medyo safe, hindi lalabas. And this is also a parody so dapat merong extremes
and may irony.”
