THE Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has granted an exhibition permit for “Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea,” an award-winning Filipino documentary about the lives of fishermen in the disputed waters.
The documentary is among 287 films approved by the Board for exhibition during the first half of 2025.
Applied by Insight 360 Consultancy Services Inc. last March 2025, the film was rated PG (Parental Guidance), suitable for viewers aged 13 and below provided they are accompanied by parents or supervising adults.
In June 2025, its producer, Voyage Film Studios Inc., reapplied for a review under the title “Food Delivery,” which also received a PG rating.
“The material contains themes and scenes which are better appreciated by young audiences if viewed with adult guidance and supervision,” said review committee Members Ricardo Salomon, Jr., Richard Reynoso and Racquel Maria Cruz.
MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto-Antonio reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to supporting films that inform and inspire.
“Through our age-appropriate rating and classification, we aim to protect viewers, especially children, while encouraging responsible content creation,” she said.
The 287 approved titles include local and foreign films, spanning genres such as drama, comedy, documentary, animation and independent movie. These films underwent a thorough review process to ensure that all materials are given age-appropriate ratings based on MTRCB’s standards and guidelines.
