Movie Review: Relyebo

Relyebo is about a man, whose one-time attempt to deviate from his routinary life was made to face the consequences his carnal exploration.

Relyebo is a finely made sexy erotic romance film. It takes us to the glimpse of the life of a modern security guard in a condo apartment. It is well written and effectively uses the cctv as the main arc in storytelling. The editing and screenplay are commendable for its treatment that you will feel the tension and sensual aesthetic of the scenes. Its tight editing helps to set the mood and tone of the film and let the audience hook on as it unveils the progress of the story. The relevant message of the film about woman empowerment and social commentary on blue collar jobs is coherently tackled and shown in the film. Sean De Guzman and Christine Bermas gave their best performance so far in this film. Sean De Guzman is well suited for his role and delivers a believable portrayal of an unfaithful and loving husband. Christine Bermas on the other hand gave a sensitive performance as a caring and loyal wife. Kudos for the two for giving a well praised acting performance. The two have chemistry whether in a romantic or erotic scenes. In this film they prove that they have acting prowess to showcase to the audience. The direction and flow of the film is smooth and the cinematography is lit for letting you feel the milieu of the film. Relyebo is not the film that you think of and will give you a nice twist that you will not be expecting to happen. Overall, Relyebo is recommended and a good catch on the roster of films in Vivamax.

My Verdict: 4/5
