Regine, Daniel and Sarah, big winners at the 12th PMPC Star Awards for Music

'The show must go on!' despite the pandemic for the Philippine Movie Press Club, Inc. (PMPC).

Known for its glittering, extravagant awards night, the 12 Star Awards for Music, hosted by Sanya Lopez and Alfred Vargas, was a big success.

Held virtually on October 10 via STV and RAD channels, Regine Velasquez was hailed Female Recording Artist of the Year for her song 'I am Beautiful'. She also won the Female Concert Performer of the Year award for her 'Iconic' concert.
Meanhile, it was also a big win for Daniel Padilla as Male Recording Artist of the Year for his song 'Mabagal'. This Moira Dela Torre/Daniel Padilla duet also won as Song of the year.

A star-studded presentation,  the show was also graced by Sarah Geronimo who clinched the Female Pop Artist of the Year award for 'Ang Tangi Kong Pangarap' and by Lea Salonga whose 'Perfect Ten'  was named Concert of the Year.  

Kuh Ledesma and Louie Ocampo also received their much-deserved citations, the Pilita Corrales Lifetime Achievement Award and the Levi Celerio Lifetime Achievement Award, respectively.

Performances were headlined by Kuh Ledesma, Gary Valenciano, Marion Aunor and Cool Cat Ash.

Likewise, a Plaque of Appreciation were given each to Kuh Ledesma, Christian Bautista, Jed Madela, Gerald Santos, Luke Mejares, Ima Castro , Jeric Gonzales and Alden Richards for their  participation in the PMPC benefit concert, Awit sa Pandemya, held on April 18 this year.
Also recognized were FDCP Chairperson Liza Diño-Seguerra,  David Fabros and Rep. Alfred Vargas for their support to the 2021 PMPC Star Awards.

The PMPC, led by its current president,  Roldan Castro, expressed his gratitude to FDCP, Director Pete Mariano, Frontrow and Raymond Francisco, RAD and STV Channels.
