This is the story of a barkada, which consists of Kurt, Maan, Denzel, Hadji, and Juna Mae.
They are young, full of zest, and idealistic. After graduation, the group agrees to camp by the lake overnight. Witnessing a meteor slicing the night sky, they decide to make a pact to meet on the same spot the following year to celebrate their friendship, not knowing the surprises and challenges that await each of them in terms of career, relationship issues, and societal issues.

Will they still have the same ideals and faith in love the next time they meet again? Will they still see the world in beautiful colors or will it be gray and sad?
Ang Henerasyong Sumuko Sa Love is a compelling and touching youth oriented film that lingers. With its great storytelling, it effectively capture the voice & concern of the youth of today. Jane Oineza shines in her deep character study performance as witty aspiring vlogger that seek relevance in life by the appreciation of others. Jerome Ponce’s low key performance as promiscuous gay works well to tell his story. On the other hand , this film showcase Myrtle Sarrosa’s best performance as frigid girlfriend to Albie Casiño which also delivers on his interesting character. Tony Labrusca did great on this film weaving the premise of the story and acting out the typical issues of millennials. What good about this film is, it is not preaching and been able to layout its message in entertaining and comprehensible form. So if you want to cry, laugh and bond with your friends, watch this quality relatable best barkada film of the year.
My Verdict: 4/5
