In celebration of Black Sheep's first anniversary, the film outfit that gave us blockbuster hits like Exes Baggage, Alone/Together and The Panti Sisters, they offer new and exiting team up of Carlo Aquino, a come backing matinee idol and Maine Mendoza who we know as the dubsmash queen and the other half of the phenomenal love team AlDub. Co- Produced by APT Entertainment, Carlo Aquino and Maine Mendoza team up for the romantic comedy film, Isa Pa With Feelings.
On its first year, Black Sheep has released 10 films beginning with the blockbuster hit Exes Baggage. For their eleventh release and first anniversary offering, Black Sheep is once again collaborating with Carlo Aquino and pairing him with one of the country's most popular actress, Maine Mendoza. True to Black Sheep's core of bringing unconventional stories to audiences all over, Isa Pa With Feelings is the fruits of Director Prime Cruz's year-long journey to bring this inclusive story to the big screen.
Announced earlier this year, the project came as a surprise when Black Sheep and APT Entertainment decided to collaborate for the first time to pair up Aquino with Mendoza. The unlikely tandem became the talk online and offline with the project announcement trending worldwide. Award-winning Director Prime Cruz (Sleepless, Can We Still Be Friends?) along with writers Jen Chuaunsu and Katharine Labay en worked together for a year to bring the story of Mara and Gali to life.
Both Maine and Carlo underwent workshops and training for their parts. The two dedicated their time to learn Filipino Sign Language to add law, to their portrayals In the film. The two also had to study ballroom dancing for the film despite their challenging schedules. The Internet was also abuzz when the theme song of the film, Juan Karlos' massive hit Buwan was used in the teaser for the film. Audiences can expect an exciting lineup of songs in the film that aims to surprise.
Isa Pa With Feelings continues Black Sheep's goal to bring fearless stories featuring fresh pairings of stars that audiences all over can enjoy together with APT Entertainment, the film hopes to bring love and laughter to the big screen this October 2019 before rolling out International locations all over the world.
In a world where everyone struggles to be heard, two unlikely strangers, both looking for their place in life, find solace in each other. MARA (Maine Mendoza), a disheartened intern who failed the board exams to become a licensed architect meets GALI (Carlo Aquino), a deaf sign language teacher who wants to prove that he can dance the same way hearing people can. Despite their differences, Mara and Gali develop a connection and an unspoken understanding of each other. But as they get closer, and with complicated feelings getting in the way, they discover that their brokenness, that once connected them, now starts to pull them apart.
