THE GRAVE BANDITS

Synopsis: A story about two young graveyard thieves. Wanted by the village people, they take refuge in an island where they become preys to the undead cannibals.

AD IGNORANTIAM

Cast: Kristoffer King, Ina Feleo, Kimmy Maclang, Mercedes Cabral
Synopsis: A messenger is accused of snatching the necklace of a university professor and is formally charged with robbery. The film is a critical look at the Philippine justice system.

IN NOMINE MATRIS

Synopsis: The story of a young dance protege who seeks to land the principal part of a dance company about to embark on a tour. The film fuses dances and Spanish flamenco rhythms and steps.

Synopsis: A story of a tailor and his struggles with his relationship with his son as he grows up.

 PAGLAYA SA TANIKALA

Cast: Matteo Guidicelli, Micko Laurente, Nicco Manalo
Synopsis: Young Berto is a rugby-sniffing street child that has fallen prey to human traffickers. When the street urchin meets Somascan Bro. Jerry, he finds refuge in the Casa Miani orphanage. But the brotherhood of the streets compel him to follow their code.


The five films will be shown at two Glorietta cinemas from December 18 to 22 as prelude to the main MMFF, which begins on Christmas Day. The lineup was disclosed to the Inquirer by Digna Santiago, head of the indie section of the MMFF.
