Movie Review: Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles

The movie is awesome. First local film that entirely shot on green screen, the same technology used in Avatar. First thing that I like about the movie is the story. It is very pinoy, common pinoy story and yunng mga character na matatagpuan mo sa typical na pinoy family.
I like the character of Janice De Belen of being a manugang to Dingdong Dantes na hindi siya boto sa anak niya, nakakatawa yung mga eksena ni Janice very natural lang na
nangyayari sa totoong buhay. Acting wise all of the actors did well at nakapagdeliver expecially sa mga comedy scene. I also like the humor of the movie its not the common slapstic comedy, dito matatawa ka sa situation and they deliver it well. The pacing of the movie was fast as well at hindi ka mabobore sa mga eksena , so screenplay wise pasado sila sa kin. Choice of song for some of the action scene and doon sa opening ng movie ay nagustuhan ko din, sobrang bumagay sa movie at nagbigay ng dagdag ng pinoy feel sa movie. For technicalities malinis naman nila na naitawid ang mga effects. I think this movie is something that I can be proud of na pwede ko maipag malaki sa ibang bansa dahil naipakita ng pelikulang ito ang istorya ng typical na pamilyang pinoy. Nagustuhan ko talaga sa pelikulang ito ang pinoy feel from the settings, story ,production design , choice of song , situation and yung moral values na ipinakita na pagpapahalaga sa pamilya at pagmamahal sa anak. Hindi lang ginawa ang pelikula para magpakita ng special effects sa green screen, may sense at laman ang pelikula ito na bihira sa mga movie na special effects ang bentahe and beacuse of that this is the 3rd movie for this year that I will give a perfect rating.

My Verdict: 5/5
