The New Nocturnals Returns for Its 5th Anniversary With "silver Screen: The Director’s Cut” at the Peninsula Manila

 

Returning in grand fashion, the annual Halloween event is coming back in its 5th year as the high-fashion red carpet of the season. In an extraordinary night where cinematic glamour, avant-garde couture, and the celebrities, top digital tastemakers, designers, creatives, and the industries most influential will converge.

The New Nocturnals: Silver Screen: The Director’s Cut is happening at The Peninsula Manila on October 29, 2026.

Adding to the magnitude of this year’s celebration, the event also coincides with The Peninsula Manila’s 50th Anniversary. For five decades, "The Pen" has stood as the epicenter of Manila’s social, cultural, and artistic life. Uniting five decades of hospitality heritage with the boundary- pushing artistry of The New Nocturnals creates an unprecedented moment in Philippine fashion and nightlife history.

A Haute Couture Homage to Cinema

Under the theme "Silver Screen: The Director’s Cut"; guests are invited to reinterpret classic and contemporary cinema through a high-fashion lens. Moving far beyond traditional Halloween costumes, attendees will showcase bespoke couture creations, archival runway pieces, and daring sartorial tributes to iconic cinematic moments.

"Nocturnals has always been more than a party—it is a living canvas where fashion, art, and self-expression take center stage," said Mond Gutierrez, The New Nocturnals’ co-producer and founder. "Partnering with The Peninsula Manila during their Golden Jubilee elevates this year’s experience. 'Silver Screen' is a tribute to timeless glamour, reimagined by today’s boldest fashion visionaries,” also said by Ash Rye, the other half of The New Nocturnals’ producers and founders.

Set against the grand backdrop of The Peninsula Manila’s iconic Lobby—celebrated for its architecture and rich history of hosting international stars and historic cultural events—the evening will feature: “We’re taking over The Peninsula Manila’s lobby, upper lobby, conservatory and halls in a way you’ve never seen before. Tonight, she’s our leading lady. We’ve proven we can create large-scale, over-the-top events, but tonight, against this stunning backdrop, we hope our guests enjoy the smaller details—and, of course, the drama.”
