PlayTime Entertainment continues to show its strong support for the Philippine movie industry!
The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) and PlayTime Entertainment have officially joined forces for the 42nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies, following the signing of a partnership agreement on October 1, 2026.
Under the agreement, PlayTime Entertainment will serve as the Official Entertainment Partner of this year’s prestigious awards ceremony.
The signing ceremony was held at the PlayTime Entertainment Office, with PlayTime Entertainment President Roy Alcid and PMPC President Fernan De Guzman signing the agreement.
Serving as witnesses were PlayTime Entertainment Spokesperson Adela Mae Marshall and PMPC Executive Producer Manuel Tan (Jojo Mendrez).
This partnership is hardly new. For three consecutive years, PlayTime Entertainment has supported PMPC in its various award-giving platforms covering Movies, Television, and Music.
A BIG MOVE FOR THE FANS!
The partnership marks another milestone for both organizations as they seek to bring the awards closer to movie fans and make one of the country’s longest-running film awards programs more interactive and engaging for today’s audience.
"This is a proud moment for PlayTime Entertainment. We are honored to support the PMPC Star Awards for Movies and celebrate the talent and excellence of Philippine cinema. We want to give our fans a voice because they are the lifeblood of show business," said Alcid.
For De Guzman, the renewed partnership is a natural next step in making the awards more accessible to a new generation of entertainment fans.
"We are thrilled to have PlayTime Entertainment with us again for the Star Awards for Movies this year. They have supported us for three years, and we are extremely grateful. Their commitment to entertainment and their direct connection with fans perfectly complement our goal of making the awards more accessible and engaging for the modern audience," De Guzman said.
PLAYTIME FANS' FAVORITE AWARD: THE FANS HAVE THE FINAL SAY!
One of the highlights of the partnership is the PlayTime Fans' Favorite Award, which will be presented during the awards night on October 25, 2026, at Winford Manila. And this time, the fans themselves get to choose! The PlayTime Fans' Favorite voting campaign will be conducted through the PlayTime website, www.playtime.ph, from October 12 to October 21.
Vote counting and verification will take place from October 21 to 25.
So, movie fans, this is your chance to make your voices heard and choose the film that captured your hearts this year!
