Sylvia Sanchez, Alessandra de Rossi, John Arcilla win top acting honors at the 37th Star Awards for Movies aired on FlexTV

Napili ng The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) para manalo ng top acting awards sina Sylvia Sanchez, Alessandra de Rossi, at John Arcilla sa ginanap na virtual presentation ng 37th Star Awards for Movies na eksklusibong napanood sa Flex TV app nitong Linggo, Pebrero 12, 2023.

Pinarangalang Movie Actress of the Year sina Sylvia Sanchez at Alessandra de Rossi para sa mga pelikulang "Coming Home" at "Watch List" respectively. Si John Arcilla naman ang itinanghal na Movie Actor of the Year para sa "Suarez, The Healing Priest."

Nagwaging Movie of the Year ang "Untrue" ng Viva Films, IdeaFirst Company, at October Train Films. Habang Indie Movie of the Year ang "Tagpuan" ng Alternative Vision Cinema.

Dalawang natatanging mga parangal din ang iginawad ng PMPC sa mga ipinagmamalaking artista at alagad ng pelikula. Una ay para sa beterano at respetadong aktor na si Ronaldo Valdez na pinarangalan ng Nora Aunor Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award, at ang ikalawa ay para sa internationally acclaimed director na si Brillante Mendoza na tumanggap ng Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award.

Hosted by seasoned and reliable host Paolo Bediones with Lara Morena, ang 37th Star Awards for Movies ay kinatampukan din ng bonggang performances mula sa magagaling na OPM artists na kinabibilangan nina Ice Seguerra, Christian Bautista, at ang mag-asawang Jessa Zaragoza at Dingdong Avanzado sa isang natatanging duet. Si Peter Allan Mariano ang direktor ng virtual awards.
