“Roommate” is an ongoing new mini-series on Facebook which topbills #JhasDrick – the young loveteam of showbiz newbies Jhassy Busran and Heindrick Sitjar.
Produced by the newly established Rems Films, the full nine (9) episodes of “Roomate” are available for free streaming via the Gabby Ramos Official Facebook Page.
This romantic comedy-suspense-drama series is the brainchild of its writer-director Gabby Ramos whose directorial credits include the feature film “Mestizo: A Beautiful Boy” (2012), “Pugon” (2021) which is nominated as Short Movie and Short Movie Director of the Year in the 38th PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2023, and “Tukador Ni Tatang” (2021) which was nominated as Best Short Film in FAMAS 2022.
Direk Gabby certainly believes in the potential of Jhassy and Heindrick as a cool young loveteam who can inspire and entertain their fellow millennials via their awesome projects together.
In fact, the JhasDrick loveteam has just wrapped up work with their first full length film, “Home I Found In You,” still under the helm of Direk Gabby, slated to be released soon, with SMDC as major sponsor.
Also in the main cast of “Roommate” are Earnest Beaver Magtalas and introducing MJ Manuel.
Supporting cast of characters are Cassie Kim, Ella San Pascual, Russ Garcia, Carmen Del Rosario, Zita Ortiga, Matteo Samonte, famous vlogger Daddy Blue, and award-winning actor Soliman Cruz.
SHORT SYNOPSIS
While Barry (Hendrick Sitjar), a socially-challenged teenage boy, is coping from the loss of his mother aside from anxiety and depression, he finds company from his newfound mysterious friends in a dormitory.
He also finds comfort and renewed joy from a developing relationship with Natasha (Jhassy Busran), his college dream girl. Later on, realizations and discoveries about himself and the people around him will crumble his world upside down.
