We have seen her critically-acclaimed horror shorts films that made Hollywood celebrities reached out to her. But no one knows her reason behind such good deeds and her no-sugar coated ways in writing.
Emille Joson tells us why:
"Well my big sisters perfectly did a good job in putting up Alaga Producers Cooperative kasi I began to have my ways also to help people. It's quite uplifting to give them suggestions that would somehow have that lasting impact on their lives especially for the new generation. Actually the reason why I went to film school is be able to tell stories with representations that are barely seen on television. Growing up kasi aside sa pangarap ko sya, may goal din ako. So yung pagtulong ng family ko sa iba, nakadagdag siya for me. Because when I was a freshman sa high school in Dear Jesus Montessori School in Pulilan Bulacan, I was being bullied by my classmate.Somehow kahit nagpalit na ng name iyong school, iyong trauma, pati iyon character assasination, pain and sleepless crying nights na naranasan ko, nag-linger. Masakit kasi the founders even didn't do anything to stop it. So nagtransfer na lang ako ng school. From then on sabi ko tutulong ako sa mga tao lalo na sa mga Bully victims. Yet I'm thankful somehow I think it happens for a reason cause now I'm very picky who to trust especially now that I'm a public figure everytime someone raining on my parade. Sanay na ko sa clapback, " aniya.
Joson is one of the toughest filmmakers in the industry now and was adored by every netizens for her no-filter personality, brave writing, and kind hearted care for people and animals.
Last pandemic she launched an online free crisis line under their Cooperative where she talked to every victims and helped them out with their problems via email and online calls. Her family also continues giving out donations at that time.
