Movie Review: The Other Wife

THE OTHER WIFE is about Janis (Lovi Poe) and Ronnie (Joem Bascon), a couple trying to fix their marriage. To make this work, they spend their time together in their beach house. Luisa (Rhen Escaño), Ronnie’s childhood friend joins them at the beach house. Suddenly, weird things start to happen during their first day in the house. Janis sees a woman, but she can’t tell who it is. She also notices something strange – the hairbrush, bath soap and her other stuff looks like someone has used it. But Ronnie insists that there is no one in the house except them. Is there another woman in the house with them, whom Ronnie is having an affair?

Just love the twist and turn of the film. Lovi Poe once again proves that she is one of the great actress of her generation by nailing her character in this film. Joem and Rhen is as good as support that molds the inner struggle of Lovi's character. It is a well made local sexy thriller film with roller coaster of emotion that sets decent build up from start until it reach its surprise climax in the end.
