Movie Review: First Love

In what appears to be a serendipitous encounter upon saving the life of a stranger, the calculated and reserved businessman Nick meets the impulsive and optimistic photographer Ali, who believes in destiny and carpe diem, or seizing the day. Nick, who seeks closure for his past mistakes, is drawn towards Ali’s spirit and vigor. Despite living with a congenital heart disease and being on the waitlist for a heart transplant, Ali continues to be hopeful about her future.

Ali challenges Nick to seize every moment of his life before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Nick finds a way to give Ali a new lease on life – even if it means risking one’s life and their love for each other.

First Love benefits to the alluring chemistry of Aga Muhlach and Bea Alonzo with the picturesque beauty of Vancouver, Canada and touching story that has purpose & sense of direction. The look of the film is a sight to behold and most of the frame speaks a lot for its story. In this film, Bea Alonzo gave her most sensitive performance and  Aga Muhlach shows that he is still the romantic leading man to beat! I see different Bea Alonzo here, she's more mature and challenge herself well in the film, not only with the looks but on how she attack her character. Aga Muhlack blends well, support his colleague on this film and give life to his character effectively. Edward Barber and Albie Casiño acting performances are noteworthy. Edward is a promising young actor to watch for while Albie proves that he can be a versatile actor. In this film you really realize that your first love is your self love and once you learn it you can definitely spread the love to others. First Love is the kind of film that doesn't depend entirely on what you see, it's how you understand the movie that makes it remarkable
