According to Bambi, villain roles excite her more because they demand depth, emotional range, and fearlessness. “Mas na-cha-challenge ako bilang aktres kapag kontrabida,” she shared, explaining that complex characters allow her to give more of herself to the role.
She names Gladys Reyes and Angel Aquino as her ultimate kontrabida inspirations—actresses known for iconic, unforgettable performances. On the other hand, she laughingly revealed that if given the chance, she would love to “apiin” Judy Ann Santos and Ivana Alawi on screen. Among today’s stars, Bambi also expressed admiration for Kim Chiu, praising her versatility in acting, singing, and dancing, as well as her warm and approachable personality. She even mentioned enjoying Kim’s on-screen pairing with Paulo Avelino and said she would love to see Kim reunited with Gerald Anderson in future projects.
Bambi also revealed that she was once considered for a role in Batang Quiapo as the younger version of Roda, a character portrayed by veteran director and actor Joel Lamangan. Unfortunately, the opportunity did not materialize due to unforeseen circumstances. Still, the experience strengthened her desire to return to the entertainment industry.
Born under the astrological sign of Libra, Bambi describes herself as someone who values friendships, freedom of thought, and genuine connections. Guided by Venus, she has a deep appreciation for beauty in all forms—something reflected in her love for vibrant colors like yellow, red, pink, green, and everything in between. Proudly a transwoman, Bambi shared that she underwent a successful gender-affirming surgery at the age of 24, a milestone she considers life-changing.
Currently based in Japan with her husband, Bambi wears many hats. She works as a production manager handling talents across different cities, booking shows for performers, particularly those in the LGBTQ community. She also helps manage several entertainment venues alongside fellow “Mamas,” earning her affectionate titles such as Mamita, Mommy Big, and Mama. Despite her managerial responsibilities, she continues to perform and stay connected to her roots as an entertainer. She also shared that she was once attached to an independent film project that eventually did not push through.
Despite her busy life abroad, Bambi’s ultimate dream remains clear: to portray a strong, fearless transwoman villain on Philippine television or film. “Panahon na para magkaroon ng transwoman na kontrabida,” she said, adding that she is willing to give her all for a role—even physically—if it means delivering an honest and powerful performance.
Beyond the glamour, Bambi believes her strength lies in her values. She describes herself as respectful, moral, generous, hardworking, and sincere—qualities she hopes audiences will see and appreciate if given the chance to step into the spotlight once more.
