Spooky season begins! The horror film fest everyone awaits is back, Sine Sindak 2024 begins this October.
An annual event dedicated for the love of horror movies, Sine Sindak: Ang Ika-5 Yugto will feature full-length horror films exclusively at SM Cinemas from October 30 to November 5.
This year, one of the country’s major film production companies, Viva Films, will have four entries for the much-anticipated event.
From the same producers who brought you hit horror movies such as Deleter, Mary Cherry Chua, Marita, and many more, prepare for a new kind of thrilling experience and catch the local film entries PASAHERO and NANAY, TATAY, and two foreign films, THE THORN: ONE SACRED NIGHT, and HOUSE OF SAYURI on Sine Sindak 2024: Ang Ika-5 Yugto.
From Viva Films and JPHLiX Films, produced by Studio Viva in cooperation with BLVCK Films and Pelikula Indiopendent, PASAHERO is a suspense-horror film starring Louise delos Reyes, Yumi Garcia, Katya Santos, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Keann Johnson, Andre Yllana, Rafa Siguion-Reyna, Dani Zee and Bea Binene. Directed by Cult Director Roman Perez Jr., Pasahero is about seven train passengers
who witness a horrific crime on board but fail to help and speak up about it. They will soon be haunted by their guilt and face misfortunes connected to the incident on the train.
From the makers of Mary Cherry Chua and Marita comes a chilling family horror that will haunt the pinoy viewers. Viva Films and Happy Infinite Productions Inc., present a Studio Viva production. NANAY, TATAY is a film written and directed by Roni S. Benaid starring Aubrey Caraan, Andrea Del Rosario, Heart Ryan, Elia Ilano, Jeffrey Hidalgo Billy Vileta and Xia Vigor. It’s about three young girls who are rescued by a loving couple who lost a daughter. The three girls thought they finally found a loving home, but what they didn’t know is that their new home houses a restless spirit that haunts anyone it encounters.
Viva Films will also feature two foreign films in Sine Sindak, an Indonesian Film – THE THORN: ONE SACRED NIGHT, and a Japanese film HOUSE OF SAYURI.
THE THORN: ONE SACRED NIGHT is an Indonesian film about a man who lost his family in a tragic accident. Meanwhile, black magic reaches the village, and they ask for the man’s help. After helping the village, he finds clues about his family’s death and discovers an evil spirit ready to haunt him. THE THORN: ONE SACRED NIGHT is a film by seasoned and critically-acclaimed director Hanny Saputra.
HOUSE OF SAYURI is a Japanese film about a family who moves into their dream home. Unknown to them, the house is haunted by a vengeful spirit who brings tragedies into their lives. It is based on a legendary horror comic by Rensuke Oshikiri. Directed by well-known Japanese horror director Koji Shiraishi, experience new heights of horror in HOUSE OF SAYURI.
