Leon, a simple guy with simple dreams, works in the city as a waiter to earn enough money to save his family’s home back in the Philippines while Angel, a very determined woman, is willing to do anything to reach her dreams and ambitions—even if it means using men to her advantage. Money makes the world go round, and unless she finds her prince charming, she won’t give her heart.
As Angel helps Leon figure out his way into the city, Leon sweeps her off her feet again. But when life happens, will love be enough for them to survive?
Love or Money is one heck roller coaster or emotion. It will definitely make you laugh, kilig, cry, afraid, kilig and laugh again. The much awaited tandem of Coco Martin and Angelica Panganiban is worth the wait. The strength of both were fully utilized in this film. Angelica definitely nailed all her comedy antics for this film and delivered truthful to the pain showcasing the vulnerability of her character. Coco on the other hand honestly shows the typical story of striving Filipino which many can relate to. The realness of the two both shines in the film giving the audience a good chemistry and heartwarming entertaining film. Angge and Coco’s chemistry is an A-plus. They had perfectly delivered the funny and kilig scenes. The good supporting cast from Cai Cortez, Ketsup Eusebio, Gelli De Belen and Matet De Leon helps to bring fun and light mood of the film. In film, it shows us that the choice between love or money depends on your needs. Love is the greatest motivation in life and money is a necessity that gives you comfort in life. Overall, Love or Money, with the engaging back draft of Dubai, is an enjoyable journey with beautiful love story.
My Verdict: 4/5
