Movie Review: Love The Way U Lie

With the help of a spunky, lonely-in-love psychic, a deceased wife tries to get her grieving husband to move on. In the process, sparks begin to fly.

A woman becomes the bridge between a man and his dead wife.

Stacey has never felt so stuck in her life until she meets dapper executive Nathan. As she starts to get attracted to him, she encounters a very peculiar phenomenon – she, and only she, can hear the voice of Nathan’s deceased wife. With lives so stuck due to hearts that cannot move on, can a new love push them to let go?

Love The Way U Lie is a fine romantic comedy film anchored by the bittersweet performance
by its leads Alex Gonzaga and Xian Lim. Fast pace with hilarious screenplay and effective supporting cast Chad Kinis and Kim Molina. Alex Gonzaga shows comfort on her role as a witty fortune teller while Xian shows depth as a depressed widowed longing for her wife. Alex and Xian easily build chemistry from cat dog relationship transitioning  to lovers. Kylie Verzosa is a fresh of a breath air showing her funny side for this film. Love The Way U Lie has been able to capture the right balance of a typical comedy and romantic Filipino film. I love how the film showcase the modern beauty of Manila and how they integrate it to the story. So if you want to watch a feel good and
entertaining Filipino film at the comfort of your home, you can enjoy Love The Way U Lie with your family.

My Verdict: 3.5/5
