YLONA GARCIA RELEASES HER NEW SONG, “LIE SO WELL”
From awards and nominations of her first solo album, “My Name is Ylona Garcia”, Himig-Handog’s O Pag-ibig to being the Young Artists of the Year of 2018 Wish 107.5 Music Awards , it can be said that this Fil-Australian singer-songwriter Ylona Garcia had come a long way after PBB stint.
Eighteen year old Ylona showcased more of her talent when she staged her first concert, “Arrival: Ylona Garcia at the Music Museum in 2017.
This charming-morena had several breaks from acting, dancing, to singing and just recently, in hosting. She is one of the celebrity VJs of MYX Channel and Coke Studio Season 3 host.
Most of her stints allowed her to explore more of her talents but singing is what she wants to focus on this year.
After her four songs (Space, Maybe a Little Bit, No Turning Back and Walk In My Timbs) that she release on her Youtube channel, Ylona is proud to share the release of her newest single entitled “Lie So Well” which she composed with TheyAreTheJam (Jordan & Mike).
When asked about what inspired her and how she prepared for her single, “The essence of life and my passion to be genuine with music inspired me to sing this song. I prepared through doing some vocal exercises.”, says Ylona. Being the niece of former actress Rica Peralejo, there is no doubt where Heaven Peralejo got her acting skills.
Her role as Macopa in Pamilya Ko caught the eyes of many because of her natural talent on camera.
She is definitely in cloud nine when she was given a break into singing which is one of her greatest dream too.
Star Music noticed her and composed her debut single. “When I entered showbiz of course at first, I was given acting roles, good thing they noticed my singing and Star Music gave me the song Nahulog na Puso”, shared by Heaven.
Heaven’s new single under Star Pop, “Nahulog na Puso” is one of her career highlights in her 5 years in showbiz. Composed by Dan Tanedo and produced by Rox Santos, Heaven’s single is available through Spotify, iTunes and Star Music’s YouTube Channel and soon will release it’s official music video. A follow up single will
be out very soon. She’s also into vlogging which has 178K subscribers where she shares her covers.
Heaven will soon be back shooting a movie, “Happy Times” under Reality Films.
MICA JAVIER CONTINUES HER LOVE FOR MUSIC
Los Bastardos’ star Mica Javier signed with New York’s Timbaland Productions in 2010, as an artist where she recorded original songs that paved the way for her to work with top producers abroad. She recorded the song “3000 Light Years” which was a licensed song used in US shows, Glee and Dance Moms. Singer-Composer Mica decided to pursue her singing career in Manila and her first break was to front act in JLo’s Dance Again concert in 2012. She already had a list of original songs and she had her collaboration with (her husband now) JayR on the song “Tonight” which was Wave’s 891 number one hit, one of Myx Top 10 songs and won several music awards.
Before Mica released her full length album entitled “Dreamer” in 2015, she was recognized as Best Female Artist for her song “Heart Song”. 2020 is another milestone for Mica as she released a new song entitled “Honest”. “It was surprisingly one of those easy songs to make, because it just flowed. I ended up writing it in 10 minutes. It’s about being honest to yourself and/or other people, about standing your ground and say goodbye to their toxicity, “ Mica said.
Produced by music producers from France, The Undercoverz, “Honest” is available for streaming and can be downloaded on Spotify iTunes and all other digital platforms. The music videos, behind the scenes, live performances and lyric videos are posted on Mica’s YouTube channel (youtube.com/micajaviera) and will soon be released in MYX Channel. Aside from music, Mica is also looking forward to start shooting for an upcoming teleserye, Ang Lihim Ni Ligaya under Dreamscape Entertainment.
MARLO MORTEL COMPOSES FIVE SONGS DURING ECQ
Among all the things that he loves to do, Marlo Mortel says that singing and composing songs are his first love. “I’ve been writing songs since I was in third grade. I could draw inspiration from anything, even with a drop of
water,” Marlo shared.
During this time of pandemic crisis, Marlo was inspired to compose five original songs and called it “Love on Lockdown Originals”. “Like with Racing Waters, I just saw drops of waters on my window and came up with a song about #MentalAbuse. But of course, I dig deeper from real-life experiences,” Marlo added.
“I will continue to write and upload original songs as part of my “Love on Lockdown Originals”. I’ll tackle different kinds of Love, and for my 6th song I will be collaborating with a foreign artist for a romantic duet,” Marlo added.
Marlo’s songs, “Seri’s Song”, “Mayakap Kang Muli”, “Racing Waters” are now streaming on Facebook, Instagram TV and Youtube. Marlo will soon be back in Umagang Kay Ganda as one of the show’s regular hosts.
MELIZZA JIMENEZ AND SOPHIE REYES, LAUNCH DEBUT SINGLE
Two Star Magic Circle 2019 members, Melizza Jimenez and Sophie Reyes recently launched their debut single. Nineteen year old Melizza has been passionate about writing songs and singing. “I’ve always loved singing, ever since I was a kid I would listen to music, write music and then in 2017 I started taking it seriously,” says
Melizza.
Melizza’s first original composition and independently produced single, “Always” is an indie type of music that caters to all ages. “I’ve always loved the idea of having someone to love and someone who would be your always so that inspired me very much, “ shared by Melizza.
Her song is out now on all streaming platforms, Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes store, Deezer, Iheart radio, Youtube and the likes.
Meanwhile, showbiz royalty (being the daughter of Rina Reyes, granddaughter of Baby O’Brian and great granddaughter of Paraluman), Sophie Reyes is also a singer and composer of two original pop songs, Rainfall and Bitaw.
Sophie was into writing songs since she was young but admittedly, she was too shy to try singing. “Marami pang mas talented diyan so why even try” until late last year I met people who were involved in music and I just saw how much they enjoyed and loved it then I realized that as long as you love and enjoy something, it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try and share it with people,” says Sophie.
