Movie Review: Man of Steel

An extraterrestrial has spent his life hiding his true nature. But he must reveal himself to the world as their savior as members of his alien race arrive of Earth bent on conquest.

A superhero movie with a heart. Maraming mga scene sa pelikulang ito na touch ako dahil pinakita dito ang pagiging human ng isang superhero. So maganda na doon nag focus ang story about love and family. Very human ang pagkakagawa may puso like in one particular scene nung bata pa si Clark na kung saan nagbreak down sa school then dumating yung mother niya na siya lang ang nagpakalma kay Clark. Ang ganda ng pagkakasabi ng young Clark “The world's too big, Mom.” Mom says: “Then make it small. Focus on my voice. Pretend it's an island out in the ocean. Can you see it?” That was so touching scene. Then also like the death scene of father of Clark Kent in which he sacrifice his own life for his son because his  father believed that if the world found out who he really was, they'd will reject him... out of fear.  Clark’s father was convinced that the world wasn't ready. So I felt on that scene the hurt and grief of a son losing his own father. I almost cry on that scene. For the special effects as expected no fantastic and very superb something to watch to as well. So it’s good that superman is back and reinvented with new story and I am looking forward for the sequel of this film.

My Verdict:  4.5/5
