'I Feel Pretty' is coming to Philippine cinemas
With
its continuous efforts in bringing quality foreign movies that suit the
viewing habit of the Filipino audience, ABS-CBN Films - Star Cinema is
set to release the American comedy film "I Feel Pretty."
Topbilled
by Amy Schumer, "I Feel Pretty" is another masterpiece from Abby Kohn
and Marc Silverstein, the writer-director tandem that brought us
romantic-comedy hits such as "Valentine's Day" in 2010, "The Vow" in
2012, and "How To Be Single" in 2016.
The
film revolves around Renee Barrett (Schumer), an ordinary woman who
struggles with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy on a daily basis
wakes from a fall believing she is suddenly the most beautiful and
capable woman on the planet.
With
a newfound confidence, she is empowered to live her life fearlessly and
flawlessly, but what will happen when she realizes her appearance never
changed?
"I Feel Pretty" is Schumer's follow-up movie after the success of "Snatched" last year.
"I’m
very proud to be in a movie that tells the story of someone who
believes confidence is directly tied to looks but learns that confidence
comes from within," says the stand-up comedian-actress, who was among
Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People back in 2015.
"I Feel Pretty" opens in Philippine cinemas starting May 2, 2018.
